Clark's Self Defense
was established in 1999 by Derrick and Magda Clark.
Our Self Defense studio provides a wide range of instructions from fundamentals of Self Defense to highly advanced Martial Arts instructions. Our students range from white belt, a beginner, to advanced Black Belts.
We offer several different training programs to fit our students' needs.
1. American Kempo Karate
Our Kempo program provides a full spectrum Martial Arts training and Self Defense skills. It include empty hand techniques, weapon training, pressure point training, sparring, grappling, Katas, instructor training, and board breaking without the need to sign up for these programs individually at an added cost.
2. Self Defense for Women
Our women's program focuses on the most common attacks women are facing. The techniques are designed to utilize women's natural fighting abilities and tendencies and the most efficient ways to fend off a bigger attacker. We focus more on avoiding being attacked and ways to get away than a full on combat.
3. Gracie University
- Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is for everyone, but only if taught correctly. While most BJJ schools have taken a “one-size-fits-all” approach to teaching the art, Gracie University has gone to great lengths to create specific programs for each demographic: Gracie Bullyproof for kids (ages 5-12), Women Empowered for the ladies, Gracie Combatives for beginner adults, and the Master Cycle for advanced practitioners. Each program adheres to a set curriculum, so students know exactly what they will learn before they come to class.
